The southern end of the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area offers trails and dunes for all kinds of off road vehicles. Our campers tell us over and over, the advantages of our outstanding guest service, facilities, and security outweighs the short 0.6 mile drive out to the dunes. The access road to the dunes is partly sand, partly gravel, with a short section of asphalt that is legal to ride on. Don't forget you can access the dunes from your site 12 months of the year so there is no need to load up and trailer to a staging area.

There are two permits required to ride your off road vehicle in the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area. All vehicles are required to have an Off Road Permit - this can be an Oregon sticker which is valid for 2 years and costs $10.50 per vehicle. Oregon also honors most state's off road stickers. Go to Oregon Reciprocity website to see whose tags are honored by Oregon. We sell the Oregon Off Road Permit. We only accept cash for the sticker fee.

The second permit required is a Day Use Permit. Check out the US Forest Service link to see the types of passes offered. Guests to our park must pay $5/day or $10/5 days for each vehicle that brings your toys to the park. We do not collect that fee at ODKOA. There is a lock box on the way out to the dunes to pay your fee. You can order the annual passes online. The 5 Day Pass can be purchased at Reedsport or Horsfal Beach. Ask us about this pass when you book your reservation.
